In his new role Berton will mainly support Neptune’s charitable partners and work with the firm’s key partner Child Bereavement UK. Breton’s current role will be filled by other parts of the Neptune sales team.

The move reflects Neptune’s desire to offer both expertise and financial support to key charities on a long-term basis, said the company.

“Patrick’s desire to spend the next portion of his career helping some amazing charities is laudable and entirely in keeping with the generous character he has shown over the many years he has spent working with us,” said Robin Geffen, founder and CEO of Neptune. “He has made an enormous contribution to Neptune, serving for many years on our board and as the leader of our sales effort.”

Berton said: “I believe deeply in the work these charities are doing and I am excited to be moving into this new phase of my career, while also continuing to be part of Neptune.”
