Tim Service has been appointed as co-manager of Bradbury’s Old Mutual UK Specialist Equity Fund and will become lead manager when he departs.

Service has worked in the asset management industry for 12 years and joined OMGI in May 2007 as an equity analyst covering a variety of sectors for the team.  He is currently deputy manager on the Old Mutual UK Specialist strategy and the Old Mutual UK Dynamic strategy. Service has also been managing a segregated mandate in UK mid and small cap since May 2013.

Old Mutual said Bradbury has played ‘an integral role’ in building its business during his 14 years there, particularly the UK equities team.

“Having spent 16 years commuting on a regular basis to London from my home in South Wales I have decided that the time is now right to pursue a somewhat less hectic pace of life in the years ahead,” Bradbury said. “I have been fortunate to work alongside some exceptional people during my time at Old Mutual Global Investors and have no doubt that the business as a whole and the equities team specifically is very well placed to continue to move forward in the future,” he added.

OMGI’s head of UK Equities Richard Buxton said he has enjoyed working with Bradbury over the last 16 months and has respected him as a peer for many years.   “I am particularly appreciative of the support he has given since my arrival at the company in June 2013,” he added.

“I am grateful to Ashton for the guidance, stewardship and commitment to building the UK Equities business prior to, and since Richard joined the company,” said CEO Julian Ide.  “He has made a vital contribution to our management teams over many years and particularly since I joined the company,” he added.
