The firm announced its acquisition of Maestro Financial Services on Wednesday, confirming it will become a part of the Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers arm and continue to operate in the Chester region.

Set up by Niel Lingwood in 1984, Maestro acquired the financial planning business Kay Webb & Co in 2010 and will now merge into the Old Mutual Wealth business.

“I’m really pleased to be joining Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers, which shares Maestro’s values and principles and will offer our clients continuity and ongoing service from a trusted and reliable national financial planning business,” Lingwood said.

Managing director of Old Mutual Wealth Private Client Advisers Nigel Speirs said the acquisition furthered the firm’s aim to help grow the number of UK households getting professional financial planning advice.
