Feeney will be chief executive officer of asset management for Old Mutual Long Term Savings (LTS) and is expected to start in early January subject to regulatory approvals.

In his new role Feeney will be responsible for all the Old Mutual LTS asset management businesses in Skandia Investment Group, Old Mutual Investment Group South Africa and Nordic Asset Management.

Here his focus will be on solid investment performance, product development and close coordination with LTS marketing and distribution.
He will also build out the LTS capabilities in Europe and is to report to Paul Hanratty, CEO of Old Mutual’s LTS division.

The group said his global experience and track record of building businesses will add a new dimension to the leadership of the LTS division in the asset management space.

Prior to BNY Mellon, Feeney held senior roles at Gartmore, RBS, Coutts and NatWest.
