MSCI appoints Luke Flemmer to head Private Assets business

MSCI has hired Goldman Sachs’ Luke Flemmer as head of private assets, where he will build out the product development process.

Flemmer brings over 20 years of experience to the role. He began at Goldman Sachs in 2020, and worked as managing director and head of digital strategy for alternative investments in the asset management division. Previously, he was a co-founder and CEO of Lab49, which provided investment and risk technology and was acquired by ION Group in 2015.

In his new role, he will report to MSCI’s chief product officer, Alvise Munari.
