F&C Investments confirmed Morse’s departure was “to pursue other opportunities”, with Simon Cordery, head of investor relations for investment trusts, taking on his business development responsibilities with immediate effect.

In September, investment director Michael Warren left F&C just before he was set to assume a new role as head of its retail business.
This followed the summer departure of Charlie Porter, who was head of funds and investment trusts. The company’s chief operations officer, Jeremy Charles, also left the group in May.

F&C has been undergoing a cost cutting programme since 2011, led by executive chairman Edward Bramson.
