Morrissey, who starts at SWIM with immediate effect, has been named as its new head of UK IFA sales and reports to Nick Hodgson, the group’s head of marketing and sales.
The appointment has been made as part of the asset manager’s commitment to developing the discretionary fund management and guided architecture outsourcing services it offers to IFAs.
Hodgson commented: “This is a major statement of intent on our part regarding the promotion of our outsourcing capabilities to IFAs.
“We already have IFAs using our outsourcing services and Mickey will develop sales further utilising his extensive IFA contacts. He has over 20 years sales experience, is well-known to many advisers and we are fortunate to have a high-calibre individual leading this new sales initiative.”
Morrissey was most recently head of distribution at Liontrust, where he worked for ten years. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Mercury/Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
