Morningstar senior manager research analyst, Peter Brunt, said the circa £9.5bn CF Woodford Equity Income fund had made positive strides after its launch roughly two years ago.
“Following some turnover among non-investment staff shortly after launch, we are now reassured to see a period of increased stability at Woodford Investment Management,” he said.
“We also commend the firm’s recent move to improve transparency in the structure of the fund’s fee, which we deem to be competitive. This, combined with our continued high conviction in Neil Woodford’s ability to successfully steer the fund, has seen our confidence grow.”
According to Morningstar, the fund’s year-to-date returns stand at 5.10%. It has an ongoing charge of 0.75%.
