It is believed Morgan will be Anderson Strathern's new CIO, while Thomas Miller Investments will replace him with deputy head of UK private clients Andrew Herberts.

Morgan and Herberts helmed the launch of the firm’s UK based private client investment business, having both joined from Adam & Company in 2012 where they were responsible for £1.5bn of client assets.

Herberts is responsible for management of onshore client assets and development of strategic professional adviser relationships.

Mike Balfour, chief executive, Thomas Miller Investment said Herberts’ contributions have “played an important role in helping to grow our onshore private client bank and driving the excellent investment performance experienced by both our institutional and private clients”

Thomas Miller Investment has funds under management of approximately £2.6bn and manages tailored investment portfolios for insurance mutuals, charities, pension schemes, governments and private clients.

Anderson Strathern Asset Management has around £250m under management, made up of both discretionary and advisory clients. A full profile of the firm will feature in the forthcoming July edition of Portfolio Adviser.
