Narula joins the firm from Axa Framlington where he was co-manager of the Global Opportunities Fund and lead manager of the Global High Income Fund.

Prior to this he worked at global macro hedge fund Cadwyn Global, and was a portfolio manager at Morley Fund Management.

He joins the firm following a recruitment drive which has seen several high profile fund managers join the firm. Last June, Dan Tubbs joined from BlackRock as head of global emerging markets, while Andrew Lake left Aviva to take on the head of global high yield role in November. Lake’s new strategy, a Global High Yield Bond Fund, was revealed in February.

The new recruit will manage the existing global equity products and mandates, and will develop new investment solutions for the future.

Narula, due to start at the firm on 24 June, said he will be looking to invest in a core of companies with strong and robust global franchises that have pricing power and strong cash conversion.
