M&G has reinforced its UK wholesale division with the promotion of Rebecca Broadbent to the newly created role of sales director, tasked with building M&G’s presence in the London wealth market.
She joined M&G in 2020 from Legg Mason as a client relationship manager, where she had been since 2016.
Katie Hammond has been hired as a client relationship manager for the partnerships team to take over Broadbent’s former role. She joins from Liontrust Asset Management having been in UK sales support on the multi-asset team since 2019.
Alex Matcham (pictured), head of UK wholesale sales at M&G, said: “It’s an exciting time for our growing team as we see increasing demand for our global listed infrastructure and Japanese equities strategies and greater recognition of our overall approach to equity impact investment.
“In addition, the recent moves in fixed income markets are providing investors with the opportunity to reassess this asset class within their portfolios. Rebecca’s promotion and Katie’s appointment further emphasise our commitment to our clients in the UK and the experience they bring will strengthen and complement our team’s capabilities across the investment industry.”
