Merrill Lynch WM poaches new credit hire from HSBC

Merrill Lynch WM has recruited Amilcare Police from HSBC as head of EMEA credit and banking.

He will be based in London, reporting to Ileana Musa, head of international credit and banking, and locally to David Jervis, head of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management EMEA.

Police will be responsible for the management of all credit and banking activities across EMEA, including product development and distribution, customised cash management and lending solutions, and loan administration.

He has a multi-asset background and nearly 20 years experience, working most recently at HSBC as EMEA head of equity derivatives sales and multi-asset third-party distribution sales. Prior to this, he was global head of equity derivatives and equity cash sales at ABN AMRO.

He also has previous experience with Merrill Lynch as European head of equity derivatives distribution to financial institutions.
