Soler joins the firm from Merrill Lynch Portfolio Managers, where he spent 15 years and was latterly a senior portfolio manager.
London-based Soler will work with UK and international clients at Sarasin, predominantly through the subsidiary Sarisin Asset Management.
A spokesperson for the firm said it had recently seen an uptick in client activity and a period of strong performance across its core investments.
The firm launched its most recent offering in April. The Sarasin IE Emerging Markets – Systematic Fund offers equal exposure across 19 of the 21 economies in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index.
