She joins as an investment manager covering high yield credit, reporting to Phil Milburn, manager of the Kames High Yield Bond and Kames High Yield Global Bond funds.
McGuckin’s previous role was with Legal & General Investment Management where she was an analyst. When David North went on extended sick leave in June last year, she became the interim manager of his High Income Trust.
However, she reverted to being an analyst when Martin Reeves was hired to be North’s replacement as head of high yield in August. She left the company in November.
Prior to her spell at LGIM, McGuckin was an analyst at Fidelity, before which she was a credit researcher with ABN Amro’s investment banking team.
She joins a team that grew in January this year with the hire of Debbie King, Garvin Peoples and Paul Dilworth, who added to the hire of Greg Mackay in November and Stephen Snowden in July 2011.
