He will lead Canaccord’s UK-based private client teams, which comprises portfolio managers, wealth advisors, financial planners, paraplanners and tax specialists. He will report to CEO Neil Darke.
Canaccord acquired Eden in October 2012, having bought Collins Stewart Wealth Management a year earlier.
Darke said: “Stephen brings a wealth of experience and significant expertise to our UK wealth management division, which he demonstrated during the seamless integration of Eden’s staff and clients. I look forward to collaborating with Stephen through our efforts to grow and enhance our UK business.”
Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management has offices in London, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man and Geneva. Its investment teams manage and administer approximately £10bn of assets on behalf of over 12,000 clients.
In May, the firm reported a 22% rise in AUM in the first three months of this year.
