She has joined Coutts, the UK private banking arm of the Royal Bank of Scotland, from Kleinwort Benson Private Bank where she was co-head of the London portfolio management team. Her specific area of responsibility will be with ultra high net worth wealth management.
Haly’s hiring is part of a concerted growth strategy and follows a number of other director-level appointments to the London team, including that of Nathalie Degans from Morgan Stanley, Simon Clark from Baring Asset Management and Derek Moore from Ulster Bank.
Haly joined Kleinwort Benson Private Bank in 2008 and was responsible for some of the firm’s Bank’s largest discretionary clients. Prior to this, she was a director and head of UK equities at Baring Asset Management.
She started her career at KPMG Peat Marwick Mclintock before moving to Newton Investment Management and then SG Asset Management.
