She is currently serving her notice period in an advisory role, having been the portfolio manager for the £132m M&G Global Real Estate Securities Fund. She joined the firm four years ago.

In her new role, she will be based in London and will report to senior portfolio manager Steve Shigekawa, who is also head of the Neuberger Berman Global Real Estate Securities Group.

Tiltman is responsible for constructing and managing assets invested in Europe within global real estate. The firm is expanding its global real estate securities area and recently also took aboard Hong Kong-based Anton Kwang as portfolio manager for the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to her role at M&G, she worked as an analyst at Municipal Housing Finance Investment Banking, a team at Merrill Lynch in New York, and previously was a member of the product management team at Deutsche Bank Securities in New York.

“Gillian's hire reflects the increasing client demand we see for global strategies. Her expertise as a real estate portfolio manager and experience in this region will add to an already strong real estate offering,” Dik van Lomwel, head of EMEA and Latin America, commented.
