He has taken on Ho’s role with the £175m Invesco Perpetual Hong Kong & China Oeic with Lorraine Kuo, who joined the company in September last year, becoming co-manager. The changes were effective from 1 June.

A spokesperson confirmed that Ho has left the firm for personal reasons rather than moving to another job with a different company.

Shiao currently runs the Invesco Greater China Equity and China Focus Equity funds having joined Invesco Taiwan in 2002, becoming head of Taiwan equities in 2005. He relocated to Hong Kong the following year to join the Chinese equity team.

Kuo has worked with closely Shiao on both the China Equity and China Equity Focus funds.

Ho joined Invesco Hong Kong in 2004 and, from November that year, had management responsibility for the $1.5bn Invesco PRC Equity Fund, an Irish-domiciled Ucits fund. Joseph Tang, co-manager since July 2007, will take over as lead manager.
