The changes take effect from 18 June.
Graham Hooper, distribution director at MAM Funds, confirmed the reasons for the change, saying: “We are moving the CF Miton Special Situations and Strategic Portfolio to the flexible investment sector as this is the only one of the mixed asset sectors which allows us to pursue our unconstrained, macro-driven approach.
“The new mixed investment sectors involve minimum equity floors which would restrict the ability of our managers to move from one asset class to another.”
The other funds in the range, the Midas Balanced Growth (in the IMA’s mixed Investment 40% – 85% shares sector) and Balanced Income (mixed investment 20% – 60% shares ) and the Acuim UK Multi-Cap Income (UK equity income ) funds will remain in their current IMA sectors.
