The UK Income fund has seen significant inflows over the past year and is now £136m in size, with more than £200m in the overall UK Income strategy. The fund launched in December 2011 and currently sits sixth out of 95 funds in the UK Equity Income sector over one year, having returned 34.6% against a sector average of 22.3%.

Reid also has a new co-manager on the fund, analyst Yuri Khodjamirian.

Reid had previously been co-manager on the Dublin-domiciled Majedie Tortoise fund with Matthew Smith. Equity analyst Tom Morris will now support Smith on the fund.

Reid will retain his role on the £364m Majedie UK Focus fund, alongside Smith and Chris Field. That fund is top quartile over one and three years. It has risen 53.7% over three years against the wider sector average of 35.5%.
