According to RSM Tenon, Porteous will spearhead the area of its business responsible for the development of both the wealth platform and investment propositions, as well as developing additional direct-to-market services.
Prior to his role at Macquarie, Porteous held positions including head of private clients at BDO Stoy Hayward IM, chairman of the Society of Financial Advisers, and board director of the Institute of Financial Planning.
"Our industry and its distribution channels are evolving, and our propositions and services must meet the challenges from both consumers and regulators. Bringing John Porteous on board is part of our strategic plan to bring people into the organisation that can help position our business for the future, and I’m delighted that he is now part of our team,” said RSM Tenon head of financial management John White.
