Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) has appointed Erika Wranegard as a portfolio manager in its fixed income team as it looks to bolster its sustainable investing credentials.
Based in Geneva, Wranegard (pictured) will be responsible for managing LOIM’s TargetNetZero Global and European investment grade credit strategies which collectively have CHF 270m (£211m) in assets. The “forward looking” funds focus on companies which have temperature trajectories aligned with a net-zero future, irrespective of their sector or current carbon footprints.
Joining in August 2021, she will work alongside Ashton Parker, Denise Yung and Jérôme Collet and report to Yannik Zufferey, fixed income CIO.
Zufferey said: “We have a core conviction that sustainability is one of the most important investment considerations for fixed income investors. Erika’s passion and expertise in sustainable fixed income are a perfect fit for Lombard Odier.
He added: “We continue to expand our sustainable fixed income franchise and offer forward-looking strategies for clients that capture opportunity and avoid risk in the transition to net zero.”
Prior to LOIM Wranegard worked at Swedish sustainable asset management firm Öhman, managing its Crossover Green Bond and Investment Grade Sustainable Credit strategies. She was also responsible for developing the firm’s framework for ESG-integration within the fixed income investment process. She began her career in 2011 at Morgan Stanley in London.
She is also a member of the PRI advisory committee on credit risk and rating, a working group focused on enhancing the transparent and systematic consideration of ESG factors in credit risk analysis. Wranegard is also a member of the advisory committee for Green Assets Wallet, the world’s first blockchain platform for validation and reporting of financial impact.
Earlier this month Lombard Odier also appointed Selina Tyler as head of UK wholesale this month to help promote its sustainability range.
