Lombard Odier appoints duo to expand UK business

Lombard Odier Private Bank has made two senior hires for its UK business following strong demand for wealth management services in London.

Oliver Hart has joined the firm from Coutts Private Office, while Dylan Samuel moved over earlier in the year from JP Morgan Private Bank.

Hart has more than 18 years’ experience in investment management and private banking in the UK, including stints at Lloyds Bank Private Banking, Barclays Wealth and James Capel (now HSBC Global Asset Management).

Samuel previously spent 13 years in the London and Geneva offices of JP Morgan, and in his last role he headed a team focused on UK financial professionals and family offices.

The appointments are the latest from the private bank as it looks to expand its UK presence under chief executive Duncan MacIntyre.

Last year Lombard Odier announced a number of appointments, including Senior Private Bankers, to service Middle Eastern, Turkish and French clients from London.

MacIntyre said: “The UK remains a core financial centre globally and we’re seeing growing demand from clients for wealth management services from London. We’ve invested heavily in our UK presence as a result, and I’m excited to see the level of senior talent we’re attracting to the business.

“Oliver and Dylan bring extensive experience to the team and support our shared belief that by providing a bespoke service and working in partnership with clients, we can help them to protect and grow their wealth.”
