Peterkin, senior portfolio manager, will be based in Geneva where he will be responsible for the business’ range of sovereign strategies and in particular the Total Return Bond Fund.
Peterkin will report to Gregor MacIntosh. The pair previously worked together at Standard Life.
During his time at Ignis, Peterkin co-managed the absolute return government bond strategy, and prior to this worked at Citigroup in Australia as a proprietory trader.
Earlier in the year LOIM’s emerging markets and developed bond teams were merged as a result of rising correlations between sovereign debt markets.
