Liontrust portfolio manager Chris Field is no longer managing the firm’s UK Focus fund – a strategy he has worked on for two decades.

A spokesperson for the firm told Portfolio Adviser that Imran Sattar became the sole manager of the fund on 1 February.

The asset manager also confirmed that Field remains as manager on the Liontrust UK Equity Income, UK Equity, GF UK Equity and Income Funds, while he is also portfolio manager of the Edinburgh Investment Trust.

Field arrived at Liontrust in April 2022 as part of the acquisition of Majedie Asset Management, the firm which he co-founded in 2002.

He has managed the offering since the fund launched in 2002. The strategy was transferred to Liontrust last year alongside the acquisition.

For the six months to the 6 February 2023, the fund’s performance was up 8.3%, according to FE Fundinfo.
