Beddall will work together with Jonathan Hughes-Morgan. The aim is to selling the firm’s Dublin range of funds through global banks, private banks, multi-managers and institutional investors internationally, with the primary focus being on continental Europe.
Beddall will market the funds in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Benelux and Nordic regions. Meanwhile Jonathan Harbottle, head of institutional sales, will retain responsibility for some clients in continental Europe.
At F&C Investments, Beddall was head of international wholesale sales. Prior to this, he had joined Thames River Capital in 2007, which was then acquired by F&C in September 2010. Before that he was vice president and director of Credit Suisse Asset Management from 2000 to 2007.
Expanding the sales effort in continental Europe is the logical next step after growth in assets under management generated in the UK over the past four years, CEO John Ions commented.
