New team leader Michaelis, formerly head of sustainable and responsible investment at Aviva Investors, said Liontrust’s brand profile and distribution capability were important for raising the profile of the team and their funds.
He said: “Liontrust’s culture of allowing managers to run money using robust, scalable and repeatable investment processes was a big attraction for us.
“We look forward to continuing to run our funds using the Liontrust Sustainable Investment Process, focusing on managing money and not getting distracted by other day-to-day aspects of running a business.”
The 11 ATI funds have been renamed under the Liontrust brand.
