McLaren joins from Creechurch Capital where she worked briefly as the business development manager of a new unit the company set up, Creechurch Advisory Services, through which it plans to expand into international markets.

Prior to joining Creechurch, McLaren worked at Mauritius based VAM Funds where she was business development manager responsible for building and maintaining broker relationships in Asia.

Before joining VAM in 2010, she worked at various times for the Isle of Man-based operations of Standard Bank, where she was also business development manager but for southern Europe and Africa, and Royal Skandia Life Assurance.

Mark Watson, head of sales for Brooks Macdonald Funds said: “Linda brings with her a wealth of experience of international markets as we look to expand our reach beyond the UK professional adviser market. Linda is well known within the industry and has excellent adviser relationships globally. Her role has been created as a result of the recent launch of our new Dublin-based income funds.”
