Having joined LGIM 17 years ago, Holland was most recently chiefly responsible for the firm’s US active equities team. He took on the management of the North American Trust in summer 2013.
Earlier this year in July, the North American Trust merged with the US Index Trust. The trust had been in the fourth quartile of the sector over one, three and five years according to FE Analytics.
The company is currently not looking to replace Holland, according to a spokesperson.
