The former LGIM bond manager and one of the pioneers of strategic bond investing will join the firm with former LGIM colleague Ben Bugg, a source at Nomura confirmed on Friday.
According to the source, both Hodges and Bugg will join the firm and November and Nomura will set up an unconstrained bond fund for Hodges to run in the first quarter of 2015.
Hodges left LGIM in April 2014, after seven years at the firm during which he ran the L&G Dynamic Bond Trust, returning 78% to investors over the period.
