Stommel held a variety of roles in at WestLB Mellon Asset Management and latterly was the head of corporate credit and structured finance.
At LGIM she will be responsible for leading the firm’s London-based investment grade credit capability and her role will focus on managing and developing talent, enhancing investment processes and working with the distribution team to strengthen the delivery of its fixed income proposition.
Roger Bartley, head of fixed income and Stommel’s direct report, said: “Marion has over 20 years of industry experience and has a strong track record of developing teams.
“She has both the fixed income investment experience and the broader business experience required to successfully lead and develop our investment grade credit capabilities.”
