Former LG chief joins HSBC Asset Management

After announcing his departure in January last year, Ellis has started in a newly-created role at HSBC Asset Management.

His main responsibilities will be to develop the service, product and reporting proposition for the company’s main client segments. In the London-based position, he will liaising closely with sales, product client propositions and operations experts.
 
Previously, Ellis was managing director at Legal and General, where he was employed for three years, and announced his departure in January last year. He was succeeded by Simon Pistell, who managed the company’s RDR programme.
 
Prior to L&G, Ellis held senior roles at Fidelity, Axa IM and Henderson Global Investors over the last 20 years.
