LG appoints new head of asset allocation

He will take overall responsibility for the group’s asset allocation strategy and will lead its team of economists, macro strategists and portfolio managers when he joins later in the year.

van den Heiligenberg joins from BNP Paribas Investment Partners where he was CIO of the multi-asset solutions group.

David North was previously responsible for the asset allocation team, as well as performing his role as head of global high yield bond funds. North left the group earlier this year after 12 years of service.

LGIM said the nature of the role would change as asset allocation strategies became increasingly important. There will be no conflict or overlap with the similar role within LGIM’s index-focused business.
