The recruitment of Andy Larkin to take over Lester’s role is part of a larger restructure of its UK retail sales team with the company citing the drivers being the advent of the Retail Distribution Review and the increasing use of wraps and platforms by intermediaries.

The new structure has led to Adam Hughes being promoted to head of UK wholesale, looking after all UK advisory and discretionary sales. Larkin will report to Hughes, joining from M&G, running the third-party team of five.

Alongside Larkin, another ex-M&G man Nick Pogmore is leaving Ignis to become Neptune’s intermediary sales manager for the southeast; Harry Reeves has joined form Artemis to do a similar role in the southwest.

Neptune’s sales director Patrick Berton confirmed the whole team will be fully operational by mid-August working with three office-based sales support staff.
