Lazard Asset Management’s head of UK equities Alan Custis (pictured) has left the firm after the merger of its UK and euro equities teams.

He exited the firm at the end of September after 20 years.

Custis joined Lazard in 2004 from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he worked as a UK equity fund manager.

A spokesperson for Lazard Asset Management said: “For business reasons, Lazard AM decided to merge our UK equities team into the euro equities team.

“We would like to thank Alan for his valuable contributions to the firm over the years and wish him the best in his next endeavours,” they added.

The newly merged team will be headed by Aaron Barnfather, who director and portfolio manager Alan Clifford will now report to.
