Latitude Investment Management adds senior analyst and COO to its ranks

Jacapo di Nardo and James Foster join boutique founded by former Odey fund manager Freddie Lait

Latitude Investment Management has appointed Jacopo Di Nardo as a senior investment analyst and James Foster as chief operating officer.

Di Nardo (pictured) joins the investment team from long/short European value investment manager Makuria Investments, having also worked at Blackstone and Pelham Capital.

Foster, who was previously head of operations at Albert Bridge Capital, has 15 years’ experience in management, operations and compliance.

Latitude founder Freddie Lait said: “Within any investment business, the team is its greatest asset. Strengthening ours through the pandemic was bold and exciting, and it sets us up well to build on our successes to date in our fifth year as an independent business.”

He added: “Jacopo is a fantastic analyst I have known for a number of years. It’s another really exciting hire, as we continue to build the business for the long term. We are also very pleased to add James to our operations team, he brings experience and expertise which will allow us to maintain our momentum as we grow.”

Latitude’s flagship Horizon fund, worth £173m, has returned 14.6% over a five-year period, compared to the FO Mixed Asset average of 10.7%, according to Trustnet.

Lait left Odey Asset Management, where he ran the Odey Atlas fund, to set up Latitude in 2016.
