Landseer Asset Management absorbs Sanlam’s growth equities team

Boutique will run funds including the £786.3m Sanlam Global AI fund under a sub-investment agreement

Sanlam Investments has entered into an arrangement with Landseer Asset Management which will see the transfer of its growth equities team to the Mayfair-based boutique.

Under the agreement, four funds will be run by Landseer with Sanlam retaining overall ownership under a sub-investment agreement.

The fund range includes the £786.3m Sanlam Global Artificial Intelligence fund; the £11.2m Sanlam Asia Pacific Artificial Intelligence fund; the £17.5m SVS Sanlam European Equity fund; and the £111.5m SVS Sanlam North American Equity fund.

Senior members of the team, led by Chris Ford (pictured), will become partners at Landseer while continuing to manage the fund range.

Sanlam confirmed that each fund’s management, fees and investment philosophy will remain unchanged.

A Sanlam spokesperson said: “Sanlam looks forward to a long and successful, mutually beneficial partnership with Landseer, as well as a continuing successful relationship with Chris Ford and his team.”

Landseer was founded in 2020 and currently runs a European small cap and European long/short fund.
