Ellis will be replaced by Simon Pistell, who is currently the managing director of the company’s RDR programme.
L&G did not say when Ellis will be leaving his role.
Ellis joined the asset manager in October to helm its unit trust business. He has also held positions at Fidelity International, AXA Investment Management and Henderson Global Investors.
