Lancaster was distribution director at RSA and was in charge of the company’s UK sales strategy.
Prior to that he worked for 12 years at Cofunds in a number of roles including head of commercial and key accounts.
Lancaster will report to Waterhouse, head of UK retail sales at Fidelity, who said: “With more than 15 years in financial services and his experience developing a leading adviser platform, Lancaster is well placed to drive the continual growth of our adviser channel.
“This appointment is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to meeting the evolving needs of advisers in the post-RDR landscape.”
