Lucy Gazmararian has joined the private bank as its head of investment advisory.She will work with the firm’s advisers to articulate the investment team’s best ideas to clients and reports to chief investment officer Mouhammed Choukeir.
Gazmararian was most recently at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she was an executive director in a global team that worked with portfolio managers to advise clients on investment strategies and opportunities.
Prior to this, she worked in Schroders’ asset management and private banking businesses.
Choukeir said: “It’s great news that Lucy has chosen to join Kleinwort Benson. Over the past few months, we have been boosting our investment engine by building the team and putting in place a process to bring forward our best investment ideas and opportunities to clients.”
Kleinwort Benson has also made Andrew Thompson its head of multi-asset investing. This newly created role involves overseeing the management of the firm’s multi-asset funds and working with the investment team to generate investment opportunities for advisory and discretionary clients.
Thompson was previously the company’s head of advisory portfolio management. He is expected to work closely with Gazmararian in her new role.
