Video: Gresham House managing director of public equities on UK prospects and plans to revamp Strategic Equity Capital

In this Portfolio Adviser video, What Investment editor Lawrence Gosling speaks with Gresham House managing director of public equities Ken Wotton on his outlook for the domestic equity market.

Wotton addresses why the UK has been unloved but outlines why he is optimistic, saying Brexit has created UK valuation opportunities for “smart money”.

He also reflects on recent M&A activity and the role of private equity, and touches on how some names across his portfolios have been affected by M&A.

Elsewhere, Wotton gives an update on Gresham House Strategic Equity Capital investment trust, which he assumed lead portfolio management duties on in September. He reveals his plans for the £178m trust in order to improve performance, including taking larger equity stakes in holdings.
