Herbert joined Jupiter in 2005 and has worked closely with manager of the Jupiter European Special Situations Fund, Cédric de Fonclare, who he is taking this role from, since 2007 as part of the European equities team. His particular focus is on the analysis and valuation of companies and investment screening.
The Global Managed Fund is run on a team basis under lead manager Simon Somerville using the skills of chief investment officer John Chatfeild-Roberts as well as the various heads of the firm’s independent funds team.
Chatfeild-Roberts said: “This is a well-deserved promotion. In keeping with our policy of bringing on our newer fund managers, this is an excellent opportunity for him to further develop his skills by taking on more responsibility.”
