Jupiter Asset Management has confirmed the Jupiter Global Value Equity Unit Trust will be managed by Brian McCormick and Alex Savvides.

The firm had previously said it was considering whether to sub-delegate the fund to previous manager Ben Whitmore’s value equities boutique, Brickwood Asset Management.

Whitmore (pictured) had managed the fund alongside Dermot Murphy, who will also leave Jupiter for Brickwood, since launch in 2018.

“Having now considered client feedback, noting the strength of the investment expertise within Jupiter, and having also undertaken a thorough assessment of the boutique, it has been concluded by the Jupiter board that it is in the best interests of clients for the fund to be managed by Brian and Alex,” the firm said in a statement.

The fund had £616m assets under management at the end of September.

Jupiter also confirmed that Whitmore will exit the firm by 1 November. Savvides joined from JO Hambro to succeed Whitmore earlier this month.
