Julie Dean leaves Schroders

The firm says management of her two funds will be taken on by Matthew Hudson.

Management of the Schroder UK Opportunities Fund and Luxembourg-domiciled Schroder ISF UK Opportunities Fund will be taken on by Matthew Hudson with immediate effect.

In a press release, Schroders said: “The board of Schroder UK Growth Fund plc has agreed that the business cycle investment team will continue to manage the company’s portfolio in accordance with its current investment policy and objective for the immediate future.”

Peter Harrison, head of investment at Schroders said: “Matt Hudson is an extremely talented investor with excellent investment performance and extensive experience running both equity and income portfolios.”

Dean joined Cazenove in 2002 as a member of the firm’s pan-European equities team, and took over as head of the team in June 2013. Before that she worked stints at HSBC and Invesco. It is not yet known where she is heading.
