JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Myles Bradshaw to head up its global aggregate strategies team as it promotes Iain Stealey to CIO of its $591bn (£460bn) global fixed income currencies & commodities group.

Bradshaw joins from Amundi, where he was head of the global aggregate fixed income team. He will be replaced in his portfolio management duties by Laurent Crosnier, head of global fixed income, supported by the broader global fixed income team.

At JPMAM, Bradshaw will become a named manager on the asset manager’s global aggregate fixed income strategies, alongside Stealey (pictured) and Linda Raggi, making tactical decisions on how to allocate across government bonds, credit, emerging markets debt, currency and securitised debt.

There will be no change to the investment process of the funds, which include:

  • JPMorgan Funds – Euro Aggregate Bond Fund
  • JPMorgan Funds – Aggregate Bond Fund
  • GIM Specialist Investment Funds – GIM Global Investment Grade Aggregate Bond Fund
  • JPMorgan Funds – Global Aggregate Bond Fund
  • JPMorgan Funds – Global Short Duration Bond Fund
  • JPMorgan Funds – Sterling Bond Fund

Before joining Amundi, Bradshaw was a portfolio manager at Pimco for eight years, where he led the firm’s eurozone sovereign and macro strategy. He also managed global and sterling portfolios at Threadneedle Investment Managers.

He started his career in 1996 as an economist at HM Treasury.

Stealey, who Bradshaw will report to, said he brings “two decades worth of experience managing interest rate, credit, securitised, volatility and foreign exchange rate risks in global portfolios”.

The global aggregate strategies portfolio management team, including Raggi as well as Ana Cortez-Gonzalez, Arjun Vij, Viren Patel and Carly Segal will now report to Bradshaw.
