The firm has appointed Olivier Paquier as head of continental Europe ETF distribution, Ivan Durdevic as head of ETF distribution Switzerland and John Harrington as head of beta and ETF product.

Paquier joins from State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) where he managed the ETF distribution team across Southern Europe and led the France office. Prior to this, he held senior distribution roles at Amundi and Euronext.

Paquier’s role at JPMAM will involve overseeing and driving the ETF distribution effort across Europe, excluding UK, and will see him based in London.

Like Paquier, Harrington will also be based in London and will be responsible for ETFs as part of JPMAM’s beta strategies business. He joins from Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for both product development and maintaining its existing range of ETFs.

Meanwhile, Durdevic joins to lead the ETF distribution effort in Switzerland, based in Zurich. He joins after eight years at Amundi where he was deputy head of ETF & indexing sales and responsible for the ETF business in Germany and Austria. Durdevic began his career in equity product sales at Nomura and joined iShares in 2008 where he distributed ETFs to banks.

Bryon Lake, who was appointed as head of international ETFs at JPMAM last year, said: “We’re very excited to have Olivier, Ivan and John join our rapidly expanding ETF team.

“Each brings a significant amount of experience to their respective roles. As ETF specialists, their in-depth understanding of the nuances of the ETF market will help us continue to build a best in class business, as we take additional steps towards building our ETF capabilities internationally to serve our clients.”

The appointments follow a raft of international ETF hires in September last year.
