She is responsible for managing a team of client portfolio managers dealing with client relationships across EMEA. Her role focuses on providing specialist investment knowledge to clients and to ensure client investment needs are continuously met across the fixed income platform. Ryan reports to global head of market strategies for fixed income and liquidity, Meg McClellan.
The company’s global fixed income platform has seen an increased interest in multi-credit strategies from institutional investors and therefore Ryan aims to support the platform’s growth.
Prior to joining the firm last year, she worked as at Wellington Management where she was associate director of fixed income. Previously she was managing director in BlackRock’s fixed income team and she was also investment director at Henderson Global Investors, responsible for the fixed income team.
“The current market environment is proving challenging for most investors, particularly when considering how to position their fixed income portfolios. Clients need close support and guidance at these times, so Maria’s appointment couldn’t be better timed,” McClellan commented.
