The team is part of the firm’s investment management solutions global multi asset group, and is based in London.
Bilton will be responsible for determining strategies for asset allocation and global economics. His research and analysis will inform the multi asset strategies, which in turn influence the way funds are managed. This includes UK funds such as the £304.4m JPM Multi Asset Income Fund run by Michael Schoenhaut and Talib Sheikh.
He reports to James Elliot, chief investment officer of the global multi asset group.
Previously, Bilton was head of European investment strategy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was working on European equity strategy and broader asset allocation research. He joined the bank working on equity derivatives and went on to become a multi-asset strategist there, gaining experience in both fixed income and equities.
