Jones joins the firm from Towry, where he was director and senior client partner. Reporting to group CEO Jonathan Polin, he will drive the management and development of the financial planning business across the Ashcourt Rowan Group.

The appointment marks the completion of a group restructure, and follows a series of high profile hires at the firm. Last August Alan Scrimger joined the firm as head of funds research, while Emily Morris was appointed group head of marketing in December. In January David Palmer was appointed as asset management business director.

Jonathan Polin said: “Gaius’s experience at John Scott and Partners, and more latterly at Towry, will be invaluable in maximising the opportunity following RDR and the significant consolidation prospects that will unfold. His experience in developing strong professional introducer links and looking after key high-net-worth clients will be invaluable as we seek to grow our footprint across the UK."
