Bailie, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the asset management industry, will become Pioneer’s head of western Europe and Latin America when he starts at the company in April. He will also be a member of of the firm’s management committee.
Based in London, Bailie will report to Pioneer chief executive Sandro Pierri and will lead the asset manager’s distribution efforts for all of Western Europe, as well as its growing Latin America presence.

Bailie joins from Axa Investment Managers, where he was global head of distribution and a member of the executive committee. Before this, he spent 16 years at Russell Investment in a range of senior roles, including managing director for partnerships and distribution alliances for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
